2019 has been a successful year for NGD Systems and we still have three months to go! We are pleased to share several honors recognizing our success in developing the world’s most advanced Computational Storage Drives (CSDs) that allow customers to move compute to data anywhere.
Today, NGD Systems has received a 451 Firestarter award from leading technology research and advisory firm 451 Research. This award recognizes our pioneering efforts in Computational Storage. 451 Research Firestarter program, recognizes exceptional innovation within the information technology industry. Introduced in 2018, and awarded quarterly, the program is exclusively analyst-led, allowing its team of technology and market experts to highlight organizations they believe are significantly contributing to the overall pace and extent of innovation in the technology market.
NGD was also just honored by IDC Innovator’s award for our cutting-edge Computational Storage technology. IDC honors emerging vendors with revenue <$100 million that have demonstrated either a groundbreaking business model or innovative new technology – or both (especially in our case).
Lastly, NGD Systems is a 2019 Timmy Awards finalist for “Best Tech Startup”. The Timmy Awards recognize the best place for tech professionals to work in 10 different cities. Please vote for NGD Systems by clicking popular vote here!
Throughout the course of 2019, we have been able to release and push to production several unique versions of our Newport Platform. Starting with a first in its class 16TB U.2 NVMe SSD with Computational Storage Services (CSSes) to a first in its class 8TB M.2 NVMe CSD and then the addition of the first ever 32TB U.2 NVMe CSD. Finally, we embedded the Azure IoT Edge service directly within our Computational Storage SSDs, making us the only platform to support the service directly within a storage device.
I am proud of the team at NGD Systems who has helped make this possible. I look forward to a great quarter to close out 2019!
